Special Training Programme

SPECIAL TRAINING NON-DEGREE EXTENSION COURSE PROGRAMMES

This course is designed for those who wish to develop their professional skills, gain experience, and benefit from work with highly qualified professors and instructors. The curriculum is arranged to suit each participant's individual needs.

Special Training programmes start each month except December, January, May and June. Duration of the course: from 2 months to 10 months during the academic year.
International Student Office must receive applications and all the documents needed at least two months before the start date of the course; applicants are recommended to arrive for audition one-two days before the programme starts. The Certificate is presented upon satisfactory completion of a minimum of 2 month course of study (no less than 16 hours of major), the Trainee Certificate – upon satisfactory completion of minimum 6 months' course of study (no less than 48 hours of major).

Applicants are offered a standard plan that includes the following: major – 2 hours per week, theoretical subjects – 2 hours per week, Russian language – 2 hours per week, or an Individual plan. The study fees must be paid in full when the contract is made.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Special Training Non-degree Extension course programmes are offered to the applicants of 18 years old or over. An applicant must have a Diploma of completed secondary education &transcript or Diploma of completed specialized secondary education & transcript. An applicant must have musical talent, ability to read music and performance skill on one instrument /voice, or experience in professional dancing.

Knowledge of the Russian language is not required, but recommended. Russian language course is an integral part of the Special Training Non-degree Extension programme.

Admission to Special Training Non-degree Extension course programs in the Conservatory is based on entrance examination results.

ACADEMIC CALENDAR

01 September – Commencement of the academic year
30 June – End of the Academic year

Arrival for audition is recommended one-two days before the audition date.
Students starting classes in September must arrive no earlier than on the 1-st of September.

Please note that there are no classes (conservatory is closed) on the following dates:
04 November – Day of Accord and Reconciliation
30 December – 01 January – New Year celebrations
01- 09 January – Christmas celebrations (International Student Office is closed)
23 February – Fatherland Defender’s Day
08 March – International Women’s Day
01 May – Spring & Work Day
09 May – Victory Day
12 June – Day of Russia

International Student Office is closed on these dates and from 29 December to 09 January.
