First days in St. Petersburg

ARRIVAL

Check-in. The Student residence address is Zenitchikov street, 7/3. It is located near Komsomolskaya squire within the walking distance from “Kirovsky Zavod” metro station.

At the Student residence the administrator will show you to your room and provide you with the key.

The administrator will also give you two documents: the enrollee’s Application for accommodation and the
Student’s application for accommodation.

These, along with your passport and migration card, should be brought to the Conservatory where you must present yourself on the next day upon arrival.

The Conservatory address: Teatralnaya square, 3.
Take bus routes 154, 2, 2-K to get from the Student residence to the Conservatory. The bus stop is just next to the Student residence. You can also take the metro, in this case you are to get off at “Sennaya ploshad” or “Sadovaya”. Buses 22, 27, 3, (leaving from “Nevsky Prospekt - Gostiny Dvor” metro station) will take you from the Nevsky prospect to the Conservatory.
You enter the Conservatory through passage 6. There is a telephone on the wall next to the security post, dial 276 for the International Student Office.

You must write an application for the dormitory accommodation and obtain the Permit for accommodation for the audition period. You will be notified of the day and hour of the examination (audition).

International Student Office is open weekdays between 11 a.m.and 5 p.m. and closed on Saturday and Sunday.

REGISTRATION

The visa-office staff will take your passport, visa and migration card for the registration procedure. To replace those you will recieve copies of your passport and visa along with the certificate stating that your passport, visa and migration card are temporarily held by the Conservatory.
You will get your documents back in 3-4 days along with the registration certificate.

CONTRACT and SCHEDULE

After successful passing the examination in your major (and the Russian language) it is necessary to make a Contract at the International Student Office right away. Within the next 14 days you are to pay the tuition fee according to the terms stated by the Contract.

International Student Office will provide you with a Permit for accommodation at the Student residence as well as a student’s IDcard.
Post-graduate students should apply for their ID cards at the Post-graduate Student Office (4th floor, room 50).

A few days later you will also have at your disposal an electronic pass which you will use to enter the Conservatory and the Student residence.

You should discuss your study plan and schedule with Deputy Dean Elena Andreevna Ponomareva who will help to organize your meeting with the teacher in principal study and get you familiar with the group schedule. Her office hours are: Monday- Friday: from 11 am to 1.30 pm, and from 2.30 pm to 5 pm.
Wednesday: from 2 pm to 5 pm.
